Senior In-Home Caregiver Solutions Tailored to Your Specific Needs

The Client Care Team consists of you or a loved one, and our nurse or designated supervisor. Together, the team decides what services are required and the schedule that is most suitable. We understand that required services and schedules will evolve over time as Client needs change.

Companionship

Personal Care Services assist the Client with activities
of daily living such as:

Maintaining a safe and secure environment

We consider client safety to be Job #1.

Grooming and Dressing

Confidence and well being are enhanced when Clients know that their outward appearance meets their personal standards. Encore’s caregivers are serious about ensuring that clients look and feel their best.

Oral hygiene

Providing regular dental care, including any dental apparatus, improves client health, confidence, and comfort.

Bathing and showering

Our caregivers assist or perform this important function while respecting the Client’s dignity and privacy. Safety precautions are an important part of this activity to prevent shower or tub related accidents.

Toileting and/or incontinence care

Incontinence can be a source of embarrassment for clients. Often, simple reminders are adequate to maintain client continence. Encore caregivers observe the highest degree of professionalism, and as such, perform personal hygiene care discretely and as often as needed to maintain optimum skin integrity and freshness at all times.

Ambulation and Transfer

Encore’s caregivers have demonstrated proficiency in transferring the client from bed, chair, or wheelchair in a gentle and competent manner and attend regular in-service training to refine and reinforce their techniques in providing quality personal care.

Medication Reminders

Serious complications can arise if clients do not take their medications as prescribed, and on a timely basis. Encore Caregivers can assist and remind clients to take their medications which are self-administered.

Transportation

Encore Caregivers can arrange, accompany, and/or provide transportation to or from doctor appointments, barber or beauty shop appointments, shopping outings, or amusement venues. Safety and security is a primary focus for the caregiver during these activities.

Alzheimer’s/Dementia/Stroke Special Needs

Encore’s caregivers are trained to provide care for clients having special needs. Diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke-related dementia, and brain injuries present special challenges for these clients. Recognizing these special needs and providing the proper caregiver match is Encore’s forte.

Homemaking Services includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:

Preparation of Home Cooked Meals

An appetizing and nutritious home-cooked meal enhances the client's overall health and sense of well being. The thing that clients usually miss most is the ability to choose the foods they want to eat. Our caregivers strive to prepare meals the client really enjoys.

Shopping and Errands

Encore's caregivers can shop for groceries and other household necessities, pick up prescriptions and run errands. This can be accomplished in the client's auto or the caregiver's. Depending upon the wishes of the client, these tasks often become fun outings for the caregiver and the client when accomplished together.

Light housekeeping

While the focus must remain on the client, Encore's caregivers maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and other areas of the home routinely used in the care of the client. The garbage is removed, and the client's personal laundry is washed as needed.

Answer the door or telephone

According to the wishes and style requested.

Conversation

Whether it is reminiscing or discussing current events, meaning for life is reinforced.

Outings

The zoo, museum, mall, luncheons, or other fun activities. A companion can make the outing so much more enjoyable.

Assistance or prescribed duties.

Hobbies

Crafts, puzzles, games, cards. Activities of this nature are fun and mentally stimulating for the client.
